Hides and Skins: Net sales of 120,300 pieces for 2026 were down 72
percent
from the previous week and 70 percent from the prior 4-week average.
Increases reported for China (73,800 whole cattle hides, including 2,700
whole cattle hides switched from Indonesia and decreases of 5,900
pieces),
Mexico (18,300 whole cattle hides, including decrease of 10,700 pieces),
South Korea (12,300 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 1,000
pieces), Thailand (10,100 whole cattle hides, including 500 whole cattle
hides switched from Taiwan and decreases of 1,100 pieces), and Turkey
(3,600 whole cattle hides, including decreases of 100 pieces), were
offset
by reductions for Taiwan (4,500 pieces), Indonesia (2,900 pieces),
Vietnam
(100 pieces), and Brazil (100 pieces). Total net sales of 9,900 kip
skins,
including decreases of 200 kip skins, were for Germany. Exports of
339,900
whole cattle hides were down 19 percent from the previous week and 9
percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to
China (217,300 pieces), Mexico (41,400 pieces), South Korea (28,000
pieces), Thailand (22,800 pieces), and Brazil (11,500 pieces). Exports of
1,300 kip skins were to Germany.
Net sales reductions of 4,000 wet blues for 2026 were down noticeably
from
the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases reported
for Bangladesh (14,400 unsplit), Vietnam (1,400 unsplit, including 1,100
unsplit switched from China), and India (100 unsplit), were more than
offset by reductions for Brazil (16,700 unsplit), Italy (2,100 unsplit),
China (1,100 unsplit), and Hong Kong (100 unsplit). Total net sales of
6,000 unsplit for 2027 were for Italy. Total net sales of 3,900 other
excluding wet blues were for Turkey. Exports of 107,000 wet blues were
down 3 percent from the previous week and 16 percent from the prior 4-
week
average. The destinations were primarily to Italy (54,400 unsplit),
Vietnam (17,500 unsplit), Hong Kong (16,200 unsplit), Brazil (10,000
unsplit), and China (4,000 unsplit). Exports of 4,700 other excluding wet
blues were to Turkey (3,000 pounds) and China (1,700 pounds). Net sales
of
253,700 splits were reported for Taiwan (252,000 pounds) and China (1,700
pounds). Exports of 43,700 splits were to China.
Beef: Net sales of 12,900 MT for 2026 were down 12 percent from the
previous week and 23 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases
were
primarily for Japan (4,500 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Mexico
(1,900 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), South Korea (1,900 MT,
including decreases of 200 MT), Indonesia (1,200 MT, including decreases
of 100 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT, including decreases of 100 MT). Exports
of 13,300 MT were unchanged from the previous week, but up 5 percent from
the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to South Korea
(3,900 MT), Japan (3,100 MT), Mexico (1,900 MT), Hong Kong (1,000 MT),
and
Taiwan (1,000 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 42,600 MT for 2026 were up 56 percent from the
previous
week and 16 percent from the prior 4-year average. Increases were
primarily for Mexico (25,600 MT, including decreases of 400 MT), Japan
(4,000 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Colombia (2,800 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT), the Dominican Republic (2,200 MT, including
decreases of 100 MT), and Canada (1,800 MT, including decreases of 200
MT). Exports of 41,100 MT were up 15 percent from the previous week and
12
percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to
Mexico (18,500 MT), South Korea (4,900 MT), Japan (4,900 MT), China
(4,200
MT), and Colombia (2,200 MT).
